The Role of Gifted Youth and Community in Creating Positive Solutions to the Trauma of Bullying (new date)

Presenters: Susan and Morgan Guess

Join us for an online conversation with 10-year-old Morgan Guess and her mother Susan. The mother/daughter duo have taken on the difficult issue of bullying in their family life and at school. They created a foundation with a focus on this often traumatic aspect of young life. Susan and Morgan are reaching out to their community and those around the country to help others understand and cope with this pervasive issue.

Kids who are afraid are not performing at their greatest potential. Morgan is proof of that. Her test scores the year she was bullied were below the previous year and the year after the experience. Now she’s a part of her school’s gifted program and she’s sharing her story with YOU. Learn how to identify and address bullying in an honest and open conversation about one young woman’s struggle.

This presentation will discuss how communities can come together to change the culture of bullying and the critical role our young people play. The experience speaks for itself. Learn from a family who has met bullying head-on and lived to tell a success story.

Registration required.  $40 fee includes access to recorded seminar.
