Family Festival: Martin Luther King Jr. Day

  • January 20, 2014
  • 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM
  • The Art Institute of Chicago

Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. Visit a drop-in workshop to create a work of art that helps your community. Explore your creativity in a program led by a teaching artist from the South Side Community Art Center. Hear stories by the performance duo In the Spirit at 11:30, 12:30, or 1:30. Look at images of friendship and peace on an intergenerational gallery walk at 12:15 or 1:15.

From January 6 through February 12, 2014, the museum is offering free admission every weekday to Illinois residents, so all our Martin Luther King Day programs, including gallery walks, are free.

Registration is not required for this program.  Click here for complete details.
