Carl Sandburg's 136th Birthday Party
2:00-4:00 p.m.  FREE 
Join in the party to celebrate the 136th birthday of Carl Sandburg, Elmhurst’s own “Poet of the People.” Folk singer Bucky Halker will perform two concerts of lively folk songs from Sandburg’s American Songbag collection at 2:30 and 3:30. Enjoy birthday cake at 3 p.m. in the Education Center, and take a family-friendly tour of the exhibit. All ages are welcome.
