Investigate life in Ancient Egypt and the beliefs behind mummification.  Listen to myths about ancient gods and goddesses of Egypt, experience wrapping a mummy replica, and examine real mummies through CT scans.  This program includes a guided visit to the Inside Ancient Egypt exhibition.  Supports ILS16.E.3a(W).

 

Class Preparation:

Students should be familiar with the geography and environment of Egypt. This will help students to make connections between Ancient Egyptian artifacts and the environment in which they were created.

 

Meet at the East Entrance to enter the museum as a group.

Ages 10-14

Cost: $8 for members, $12 for nonmembers.  No refunds.
