Anxiety and worry are common during childhood and can impact the entire family. Join Andrea Victor, Ph.D. as she discusses the importance of understanding and recognizing anxiety in children. Parents will also learn strategies to help their children better manage their anxiety.
Barbara Resnick has spent the last 10 years advocating for families to assure their children receive the necessary supports from their private or public school. Her presentation will explain the mandated supports available and how parents can work collaboratively with schools to secure the appropriate services. Response to Intervention, IEPs and 504 Plans, and Service Plans will be covered.
ADHD, a popular neurobehavioral diagnosis, is a stimulus for many questions from patients, parents and professionals. What is it? What are the components of a thorough diagnosis ? How can schools be helpful? How can parents be most effective? Those questions will form the basis of the information presented by Meryl Lipton, M.D., Ph.D., who aims to leave the audience with a deeper understanding and smarter ways to think about ADHD.

Helping Your Child Develop Executive Function Skills
