Glenside Color Computer Club CoCoFest

  • April 28, 2013
  • 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Heron Point Convention Center, Lombard

For 22 years the Glenside Color Computer Club has hosted an annual CocoFEST!, showcasing a 6809 based personal computer popular in the 80s and 90s and how it has evolved from its humble original model to what it is now.

Reserve the date and get a fascinating glimpse of the past! The Glenside Color Computer Club (GCCC) is hosting the "22nd Annual “Last” Chicago CoCoFEST!". This small, but community-oriented event, with over 20 exhibitors, showcases the incredible technology of the Tandy/Radio Shack Color Computer, how this technology has evolved to use modern day technologies and how it is being used today. As we move forward with exciting and new technologies, looking back where it all started is as important as looking forward. Please join us in supporting GCCC’s CoCoFEST! and this important part of computer history that influenced today’s modern computers by attending on Saturday and/or Sunday April 27 and 28, 2013 at the Heron Point Convention Center, 665 W. North Ave, Lombard, IL 60148 – Lower Level. GCCC is going all out to guarantee a great and fascinating time. Admission is only $5 for anyone over 12 and includes both days.

Note: This is not a see-old-computers-expo! This expo highlights a fusion of Color Computer technology with cutting edge technologies available and in use today. This is what makes this event amazing. This is engineering at its creative best. We hope you'll come out and join us.
