“Knowing Who We Teach, Choosing How We Teach: Keys to Successful Student Engagement”
One size gifted does not fit all. Today’s classrooms range from the profoundly gifted to those at risk due to some sort of exceptionality, such as a learning disability, attention deficits, and social or emotional issues. Not all gifted students are good lesson learners and high producers.
Most gifted students have learning profile differences that do not align to traditional teaching methods. Therefore, it is essential to understand who you teach so that you can choose how to teach. This highly interactive workshop focuses on strength-based, talent-focused learning.
This highly interactive, hands-on workshop goes beyond theory to give you practical strategies you’ll be able to use in your classroom immediately. You’ll leave with the keys to unlock your students’ strengths, higher-level thinking, and creativity; entry points to promote skill development; and alternate ways for learners to communicate their understandings.
