Grappling with Giftedness: A Lifelong Challenge

  • February 21, 2013
  • 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Online: SENGinar

Presenter: Ellen D. Fiedler, PhD

“I couldn’t possibly be gifted!” How many times have you heard an adult (including yourself) say this when their giftedness is obvious to you?

Most gifted adults don’t realize how bright they are and how it affects their lives. Like children, gifted adults go through life stages and may well encounter these stages earlier and more intensely. Unbeknownst to them, gifted adults may struggle throughout their lives with unresolved affective issues specifically related to giftedness.

This SENGinar explores the meaning and ramifications of giftedness throughout the lifespan and describes characteristics of gifted adults along with issues and challenges typically encountered at various stages of life.

$40, registration required.
