In this online format, we will virtually gather around the table together and have a writers' workshop. A writing prompt will be given weekly as homework, and we will spend time in class not only sharing that writing but also finding inspiration, getting ideas, exploring different genres, and learning about how to help others grow as writers through peer feedback and encouragement. This will be a fun, creative space where the goal is for each student to take steps toward greater enjoyment and confidence as a writer.

Students who register for this class should have some basic understanding of writing and grammar and an ability to write several paragraphs; students should be willing to share their writing with peers in order for the format of the class to work well.

For as long as she can remember, Jennifer Bishop has enjoyed finding just the right words to express an idea or story. She has a BA in French Literature and works as a curriculum developer, primarily in early childhood language arts.

Minimum/maximum number of students: 4/6

Age range: 9-12

Cost: $10.50

Family must register for LOGYC Coop in order to sign up for classes.
