How to Talk So Little Kids Will Listen: A Survival Guide to Life with Children Ages 2 – 7

An evening with author and thought-leader, Julie King

What do you do with a little kid who…won’t brush her teeth…screams in his car seat…pinches the baby...runs rampant in the supermarket? Organized by common challenges and conflicts, bestselling author, Julie King, joins us to discuss essential communication strategies for parents, caregivers, and educators.

You will leave feeling empowered to forge rewarding, joyful relationships with your child(ren) 2-7 years old. These strategies will help little kids grow into self-reliant big kids who are cooperative and connected to their parents, teachers, siblings, and peers.

For over 20 years, Julie King has been educating and supporting parents and professionals who live or work with children ages two to teens. She consults by phone and video chat with parents, leads "How To Talk" workshops online and in person, and speaks publicly to schools, parent groups and other organizations across the U.S. and internationally. Together with Joanna Faber, she is co-author of the book How To Talk So LITTLE Kids Will Listen: A Survival Guide to Life with Children Ages 2-7 (Simon & Schuster), which has been ranked #1 best seller on Amazon in both the U.S. and Canada and Best Parenting Book of 2017 in China, and has been translated into 17 languages. She and Joanna collaborated on the app, Parenting Hero, and the soon-to-be-released app, Pocket Parent. She received her Bachelor's degree from Princeton University and she has a J.D. from Yale Law School. She lives with her husband in the San Francisco Bay Area, where they are visited every now and then by their three grown children. Visit her website at julieking.org.
