Hands-On Art Masters

Each week, we will explore a different artist and a technique created or popularized by that artist. Class will begin with a story about the artist, followed by a brief examination of some of their famous artworks (especially those relating to the project for the day). The children will then be lead in a 2D art project that explores a technique or medium the artist utilized while allowing for exploration. This class is aimed at 5-8 year olds, but younger and older children are welcomed (younger children may need parental assistance- please contact me if you have any questions). Dress for a mess every week (bring your own smock). All other supplies will be provided.

Examples of artists we will study this session: Hokusai, Seurat, Degas, Van Gogh, O'Keefe, Kahlo, and many more!

Teacher: Lisa Stelter

Ages: 5-8 (flexible)

Materials Fee: $41.50 (includes all art materials)

Homework: None

Min/max: 4/10

Family must register for LOGYC Coop in order to sign up for classes.
