Join in the fun for the 22nd Annual Museum Day in Elmhurst, a special event commemorating the important cultural value of museums to communities. Jump on board the Explore Elmhurst trolley to visit all three Elmhurst museums for free admission, family-friendly activities, exhibit tours, refreshments, and more. Limited complimentary parking available at each location and at City of Elmhurst parking decks.
- Elmhurst Art Museum: Take part in a hands-on art project and check out the galleries at one of the western suburb’s premiere destinations for modern art, architecture and design. Location: 150 Cottage Hill Ave. Website: www.elmhurstartmuseum.org
- Elmhurst History Museum: Explore the Snoopy and the Red Baron exhibit, take a photo with Snoopy, and launch a paper airplane. Kids can get their faces painted with Peanuts themes and learn to draw a Peanuts character. The Checkerboard Radio Control Club will be on hand with model airplanes and a flight simulator to test flying skills. Enjoy complimentary lemonade and cookies. Location: 120 E. Park Ave.
