The Shakespeare Project is proud to present an encore performance of Dr. Rowan Williams' play "Shakeshafte" on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 3:00PM at International House at the University of Chicago, 1414 E. 59th Street, Chicago, IL.  Admission is free, pre-registration is required from the following link:  https://www.lumenchristi.org/events/999

Shakespeare and the Saint.  Dr.Williams, the 104th Archbishop of Canterbury, presents a "fantasia" on a meeting between young William Shakespeare and the Jesuit martyr, Edmund Campion.  Set against the backdrop of the English reformation in 1581, we encounter two men:  one who has found his calling, the other in search of his.

Artistic director Peter Garino directs a cast that includes:  Lydia Berger Gray, Jack Hickey, Gary Houston, Peter Eli Johnson, John Kishline, Chris Landis, Kim Richard Mowrey, Christopher Prentice, Grace Smith and Fredric Stone.  Assistant director, Brynne Barnard.  Music and sound by George Zahora.  This performance is made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor and Lumen Christi.

An introduction to the play commences 15 minutes prior to curtain.
