REACH PTA PRESENTS A PARENT EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM with guest speaker DR. GEORGIA BOZEDAY, ED.D.


“Parenting to Promote a Growth Mindset”


Date: Thursday, March 8th Time: 6:30-8:00 pm 

Place: Sandburg Auditorium- Doors 3 and 7 will be open. 

Program made possible through a District 205 Foundation Grant. 


Mindset is defined as a set of beliefs or a way of thinking that determines ones behavior, outlook, and mental attitude. Parents will identify practices that fall into either a fixed mindset or a growth mindset category with specific focus on ways parents can develop a Growth Mindset with their children.


Topics included in this discussion are: Role of technology in Mindset, specific strategies to help facilitate a Growth Mindset, and ways to foster engagement and personalize experiences within the parent-child relationship to build Growth Mindset.


Dr. Georgia Bozeday, EdD, Director of Educational Services at Rush Neurobehavioral Center and Adjunct Professor at Northeastern Illinois University, has extensive experience in education, speech language pathology, learning disabilities and gifted education. Formally, she was the Director of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent at Sunset Ridge, District 29. Dr. Bozeday currently manages the Executive Function projects and is instrumental in curriculum design and implementation of the RNBC Executive Functions programs. Founded in 1997, as part of Rush University Medical Center, Rush Neurobehavioral Center brings together professionals from multiple disciplines to address the diagnosis and treatment of children with neurobehavioral issues. www.rnbc.org
