JAMES G. NONDORF

Jim is the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Advancement and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at the University of Chicago. At UChicago, Jim oversees College Admissions, Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Office of Career Advancement. He has also served as chair of the SAT Committee and been an adviser for the College Board. Prior to his tenure at UChicago, he served as Vice President and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Director of Student Outreach and Associate Director of Admissions at Yale University.

Jim earned a BA in economics from Yale University and an MLA in ethics from Valparaiso University.

ANDRÉ E. PHILLIPS

André has over 35 years of experience in the admissions profession and is currently the Director of the Office of Admissions and Recruitment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In the Office of Admissions and Recruitment at UW-Madison since 2011, Phillips first served as the Senior Associate Director and, from August 2016 - May 2017, as its Interim Director, before his permanent appointment eight months ago. He held previous leadership appointments at the University of Chicago and the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Mr. Phillips serves as the chief designer of local, national, and international recruitment strategy at UW-Madison. He oversees 65 full-time team members who recruit, evaluate, process, and admit the enrolling class each year. He leads efforts for working collaboratively with campus partners as well as local community service organizations and alumni on new initiatives to attract high quality students.

Originally from Chicago, Phillips received his bachelor's degree in social work from the Loyola University of Chicago. He also attended the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.
