Guided Nature Paddle: Aquatic Mammals of Lake County


Find out what aquatic mammals live in or near the waters of Lake County while paddling a canoe. Guaranteed to see and touch some! Paddling equipment provided.


Do you know all the aquatic mammals in Lake County? This program starts with brief canoe paddling instruction on land, then moves on to Sterling Lake where a naturalist will share information about the habitat needs and lifestyles of these interesting animals.

Paddling experience preferred, not required. Canoe equiment provided. However, you may bring your own paddling equipment (canoe, kayak) and life jackets. Refer to Welcome Letter for details on what to wear and bring. Please bring a signed waiver and emergency contact/health form for each person attending.

Meet at the Sterling Lake car top boat launch.

Adults, families with children ages 9 and up.
