The Adler invites you and your family to come and enjoy one of the most dazzling sights of the night sky in 2016, the Perseid Meteor Shower. For the second year in a row, the Adler will host their Annual Star Party in partnership with Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois.

Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Cantigny Park as “shooting stars”—which are actually meteors—blaze through the night sky. Build your own rocket and send it flying through the air with our special stomp rocket launcher, construct a galaxy-sized puzzle of the night sky, gather ‘round the (pretend) campfire for Constellation Storytime, and much more! Learn about the Universe through hands-on educational activities, Adler astronomers and an abundance of telescope volunteers. We hope you’ll join us for a fun-filled night of meteor chasing and skywatching!
