Mother's Day Wildflower Walk

  • May 07, 2016
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Baker's Lake, Barrington

CFC's (Citizens for Conservation) Youth Education Committee invites children, mothers and grandmothers to a Mother's Day wildflower walk on Saturday, May 7, at  Baker's Lake. Participants will learn more about native species in the savanna and will get a chance to observe the nesting platforms on the lake's island. (Bring binoculars if you have them.) Youngsters will also receive live native flower plants to give for Mother's Day.

The class is open to children ages 5 and older (and dads are invited, too). CFC members are free; nonmembers pay $5 for the first child and $1 for each additional child. Meet at the Baker's Lake parking lot on Highland Avenue, south of Hillside Avenue in Barrington.
