Life in the Pond: A Hands-on Exploration

Life in the Pond Workshop 1:30 - 2:30 pm


In this workshop we will discover the secret underwater world of pond life. Learn about what lives in a pond, indicators of pond health, invasive species, and more! Participants will receive a macroinvertebrate identification key and a magnifying glass.


Hands-on Pond Exploration 2:45 - 4:00 pm


Museum staff members will use dip nets to collect samples and participants will be able to sue their identification keys to discover the rich diversity of life in the pond.


Free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Children must be attended by an adult. Please register by May 7, 2015.
