Uncovering the Art of Ancient American Pottery


Learn about the cultures of the ancient Americas by investigating pottery forms, patterns, materials, and uses. Then complete an excavation to uncover potsherds, and use your knowledge to determine the place, time, and culture from which they may have come. This program is available at the Museum or at your school. Programs at the Museum include a guided visit to the Ancient Americas exhibition.


Curriculum for 3rd to 5th grades


Designed for students ages 7 - 11 years old

 

Meet at the East Entrance to enter the museum as a group at 9:30 am.


Cost: $8 for members, $12 for nonmembers.  No refunds.
