Family Night

  • January 23, 2015
  • 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Swedish American Museum, Chicago

An evening of crafts and activities for the whole family in celebration of the Museum's new art exhibit, “Streets, Blocks, and Neighborhood,” created by artist Björn Sjögren. Reservations are recommended for this free event.

About the Exhibit: Björn Sjögren’s creations, inspired by his experiences, are mingled with a type of Scandinavian design simplicity. Starting in 1987 with the idea that an image could be built by using dots, waves and lines, Sjögren developed a process of constructing art from pixels, which was a unique concept at the time. He also places the title beneath the image to let the words interact with the design above and allow the viewer’s brain to produce the full picture. To learn more about the artist visit his website.
