Civil War Reenactment

When: Saturday, June 21 & Sunday June 22
Where: Fischer Farm, 16W680 Grand Ave.
Time: Saturday: 10am-4pm,
Sunday: 10am-3pm

Free event! Bring the whole family to the Civil War encampment at the Fischer Farm Museum.  The sun over the treetops shines down on the men taking care of their horses, cleaning their weapons, and cooking their meals.  Walk with us into the early 1860s and see firsthand what the life of a soldier and civilian were like.   Encampment re-enactors include The 10th Illinois Infantry, the 8th Veteran Reserve Corps, and Taylor’s Battery.  The Civil War Weekend will also include a visit from Abraham Lincoln and music will be provided by the Battlefield Balladeers.
