Edward R. Amend, Psy.D., a Clinical Psychologist at The Amend Group (www.theamendgroup.com) in Lexington, KY, is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Ohio. Dr. Amend focuses on the social, emotional, and educational needs of gifted youth, adults, and their families. He co-authored two award-winning books: A Parent’s Guide to Gifted Children and Misdiagnosis and Dual Diagnoses of Gifted Children and Adults (second edition). Dr. Amend has authored many articles, book chapters, and columns about gifted children. He presents locally and nationally on topics related to the needs of gifted children, and he is actively involved with NAGC, SENG, and KAGE.
