From Identification to Opportunity: Using the Naglieri General Ability Tests to Expand Equity

  • September 10, 2026

  • online

An NAGC Sponsored Webinar

Despite growing attention to equity, many high-potential students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, English learners, and students experiencing poverty remain underidentified for gifted services. This webinar examines how the Naglieri General Ability Tests support more equitable identification by measuring verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal reasoning while reducing barriers associated with language and prior opportunity. Participants will view simulated assessment activities, analyze test items, and learn how results can inform instructional decisions. Practical strategies for flexible grouping, curriculum compacting, differentiation, and talent development will help schools translate equitable identification into meaningful learning opportunities for advanced learners.
