Meteorites or Meteorwrongs?

Meteorites are among the rarest rocks on earth – some are rarer than diamonds! There are many terrestrial, or earth rocks, that look similar to meteorites. Join our Geologist, Sara Kurth, as she goes through the steps to discern meteorites from meteorwrongs! Hand-samples will be available for participants to observe and test. After the class, join us for a crater-making activity weather permitting!

Lecture – 2:00 p.m. – 60 minutes

Ages 8 yrs. & up

Regular Museum Admission, Museum Members Free
