Illinois Aviation Museum in Conjunction with the Bolingbrook STEM Association Presents

Saturday Morning STEM Session Featuring 

Aviation Fundamentals at Bolingbrook’s Clow International Airport


Cost: $5 Per Student

Age Group: For Middle School Student Ages 11 - 13

Location: Bolingbrook’s Clow International Airport 110 Clow International Pkwy, Bolingbrook, IL 60490

Event to Include: Various Aviation Related Activities, Lunch Provided, Awards, and Museum Tour 

Activities to Include

  1. Forces of Flight: How in the world can a plane carry hundreds of people and thousands of pounds through the sky safely and efficiently?  
  2. Build a Glider: Precut balsa gliders are still around and still fun to fly. Learn how to assemble and fly your own.
  3. Drone Demonstration: Drones are everywhere today. See a demonstration of how they work and learn about all the applications they are used in.
  4. Flight Simulators: Flight simulators can be simple and fun to very complicated and very difficult. Try your hand at flying like a Top Gun!
