Virtual Intersections: Belonging and Desire

Our need to connect is fundamental to the human experience. It is a longing that informs our relationships with others and with ourselves, and can have a profound impact on how we define who we are as individuals and as a society. In this session of Intersections, artist and educator Zakkiyyah Najeebah, and Sam Ramos, associate director of Innovation and Creativity, bring people together to consider artworks that help us reflect on the experience of belonging and desire.

In this interactive series, the Art Institute’s collection and exhibitions serve as catalysts for conversations about urgent social questions and current events. Come ready to participate and create community through dialogue about art.
