SENGinar: Transformational Well-Being: Improving the Social and Emotional Wellness of Gifted Adults

Everyone deserves to feel happy, healthy, and successful,   and to find meaning and purpose in life. Common stumbling blocks to this   actually occurring, especially in gifted adults, are low levels of social and   emotional wellness. Social and emotional wellness includes the skills of self-awareness,   self-management, social awareness, relationship building and maintenance,   responsible decision-making, and more. For gifted adults to achieve   fulfillment, and to live a life of meaning and purpose, these skills need to   be learned, practiced, and strengthened. This session will help individuals   engage in this process of self-discovery and improvement using evidence-based   practices from social and emotional learning and positive psychology.

About the Presenters: Lorrie-Anne Monte and Shawn Fields are the founders of The Transformational Well-Being Institute. Shawn has been a Marine, construction worker, musician, businessman, librarian, Rotarian, consultant, learning center director, and advisor. Lorrie-Anne was a high school counselor for over 18 years and is currently an Assistant Professor in Counselor Education at Western Connecticut State University.  They both love to learn and are extremely passionate about personal and professional development. Lorrie-Anne and Shawn believe that everyone deserves to become the best version of themselves and to live lives that are full of joy, meaning, and purpose.
