Spyglass, IEA’s new distance learning program, uses a digital platform to bring high-level content into the homes of gifted and advanced students across the country. Spyglass will consist of live, interactive sessions, both standalone and in series, on a variety of topics for a range of ages.

What are the rules surrounding research on humans? Why do those rules exist and how do they impact us today? Students will discuss a historical recap of research performed worldwide which would now be deemed unethical. Then, they will cover recent cases to highlight individuals’ rights. Prepare to be surprised by what has occurred and who has done it! The workshop will also review case studies to see how students would tackle certain research issues.
