Understanding the Gifted Preschooler

Gifted preschool children are like sponges! They want to know everything, now. They learn and retain the craziest things. Living with a gifted preschooler can be amazing and exhausting and mystifying. Join us as we hear from a experts and learn more about how to live with and to educate these children.

Krista Genovese's approach to gifted education has been shaped over 10 years in the early learners classroom. Through her approach to integrate creativity with concrete learning acquisition, Krista has fostered the gifted child's desire to understand the world around them in ways unlike the typical learner.

Diane Tovar's 30 years of teaching career has spanned across three schools, with two decades spent in mission-specific schools designed to support the gifted learner. Her passionate understanding of the gifted mind continues to impact the children in her classroom as they seek depth, meaning, and connection to ideas not seen in other children as consistently or intensely.

Both Krista and Diane look forward to interacting with parents as panelists at the upcoming Parent Education event co-sponsored with Quest Academy and Chicago Gifted Community Center.
