Garter Snake Dissection

  • April 24, 2019
  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Midwest Museum of Natural History, Sycamore

Attention, young scientists! Learn the ins and outs of snakes as students dissect their own garter snake!

Dissections are a great, hands-on way to learn more about animals and how their bodies function. They are also a fantastic opportunity for parents to get involved with their student’s education. In addition to learning about proper techniques for dissection, students will be able to compare a snake’s anatomy to their own, and gain a greater respect for the animals that we are learning from.

All ages welcome, though younger students may need help from their parents

Cost per specimen: 15 for members, 20 dollars for non-members

Pre-Registration is required. Due by Friday, April 12th

Led by students from Northern Illinois University
