Chinese New Year Celebration

Celebrate the Year of the Pig and its promise of prosperity at this multi-generational event featuring art making, storytelling, music, game, and gallery tours in English and Mandarin.

Dancing Dragons

Drop in 1:00–4:30
Chinese dragons are a symbol of power, authority, and strength. Create a dancing dragon and bring good fortune to your family’s Chinese New Year Celebrations.


Lucky Red Envelopes
STUDIOS A and B
Drop in 1:00–4:30
Make and decorate a hóngbāo, a lucky red envelope, as a gift for someone special. Write and draw a personal message inside for good luck and prosperity in the new year.
