What nurtures the brain of our youngest to optimum intelligence, stability and future success in life? Answers will be provided by Dana Suskind MD — a pediatric otolaryngologist who specializes in hearing loss and cochlea implantation as the director of Pediatric Hearing Loss and Cochlear Implant program at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Suskind is the author of “Thirty Million Words” and is director/founder of the Thirty Million Words Initiative, based research that demonstrates the critical importance of early language exposure on the developing child. Dr. Suskind’s ultimate goal is to help all children reach their full potentials and to close the ever-widening achievement gap.

In this important presentation Professor Suskind will reveals the recent science supporting her important work, and outline how parents can best put this science into practice. Participants will learn how to enhance their home language environment in order to optimize their child’s brain development and, therefore, his/her ability to learn.
