2015 Illinois Free Day Schedule


Illinois residents receive free Museum Entry on the following dates:


January 5-9, 12-16, 19-23, 26-30

March 2-6

April 22

May 21

June 1-5, 8

September 8-11, 14-18, 21-25, 28-30

October 5, 6


On Illinois Free Days, Museum Entry is free for all Illinois residents who show valid proof of residency. No further Chicago residency discounts apply on Illinois Free Days. Omnimax films, Coal Mine and  optional U-505 onboard tours, and certain temporary exhibits are not included in Museum Entry, and require separate admission. We  are an all volunteer-based organization that relies on annual memberships from parents, professionals, and supporters to provide organizers with web site operations, a registration system, event insurance, background checks, etc.
