Family Program: The LamaSeuss Series (ages 5-8)

The LamaSeuss Series
On select Fridays families are invited to bring their children for an interactive investigation of a topic in the galleries. Each session features a Dr. Seuss book and an exploration of its themes through the Oriental Institute’s collection. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Recommended for children ages 5-8.

Go on a “birding” expedition through the Oriental Institute’s galleries and discover birds both common and rare and what people 3,000 years ago thought of them!

Dr. Seuss’s ABC

Take part in the Oriental Institute’s original play-story about the origins of the alphabet and try out writing ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs.
